ASSASSIN
Masters
of the shadows, Assassins strike fear into the
hearts of their enemies just as often as they place
their blades there. With skills that conceal their
entry, attacks that can kill with a single blow, and
spells that remove all trace they were ever there,
Assassins could not be much more deadly...unless of
course they could wield TWO blades. 3rd Edition
D&D allows characters to acquire Two Weapon
Fighting, and Neverwinter will let you see it.
BARBARIAN
Raised
far from the safety of city life, Barbarians use
their brute strength and ferocity to survive where
many civilized creatures fear to set foot. Their
hulking brawn makes them dangerous enough, but it is
their terrifying Barbarian Rage that should make a
wise man turn and flee. It was thought that they
were lost to the ages, but 3rd Edition D&D has
brought the Barbarian back, and Neverwinter has them
in all their unwashed glory.
PALADIN
The
Paladin has always stood tall against the tide of
evil. Until now this may as well have been taken
literally, but things are about to change. Every
race has a definition of what is right and true, and
every race has something worth believing in, worth
dying for to protect. 3rd Edition D&D allows any
race to become any class, and Neverwinter will take
full advantage of the fact. Why let human Paladins
have all the fun?
OGRE
Ogres
are big, ugly, greedy humanoids that live by
ambushes, raids and theft. Ill-tempered and nasty,
these monsters are often found serving as
mercenaries in the ranks of orc tribes, evil
clerics, or gnolls. They mingle freely with giants
and trolls. Ogres will pose a deadly problem to any
adventurer leaving the safety of Neverwinter's
walls.
SIRINE
Sirines are beautiful, human-like females, at home
in any aquatic environment. Most sirines are
anti-social, attacking any adventurer that stumbles
too close to their territory. A few sirines are
hungry for social interaction, and try to lure male
humans or demi-humans to join them for a time.
Adventurers from Neverwinter are warned not to
succumb to the wiles of the sirine, as they are
usually never seen again.
TROLL
Trolls
are horrid carnivores that can be found in any
climate. Most creatures avoid these beasts, since
trolls know no fear and attack unceasingly when
hungry. Trolls' most powerful ability is that of
regeneration; an ability that allows them to quickly
heal almost any wound within minutes of being
harmed. Adventurers are warned that trolls often
migrate from the Troll moors to the more hospitable
climate surrounding Neverwinter.
